Our Bear is still gone. Our person that we thought had him finally got around to sending us proof that is was not Bear. That is a very helpful thing to do. It has cost a near fortune to get her to send photos of the other dog. It is sad that the people that are asking to help our animals could be so unkind in the first place. We will continue our search. From square one again. We want him back so badly. Seems maybe it will never happen. See below I have a close description of the truck and trailer.
Bear we love you so much and hope for you that the angels are truly watching over you. We will continue but have lost heart all together. People some have been so unkind that we cannot believe that they would be this way as we love our animals and do feel we have to help folks now and again to get their animals home.
Last Chance for Animals and the Stealth Volunteers have been a real help in this situation now. They have been the ones to give me courage to go on with my search. For they are such dedicated people I cannot say thank you enough. Thanking all the kindness of folks that truly are concerned.

This
is the style of truck and trailer that I saw the day my Bear came missing.
The trailer is white but the truck was black without a running board. On
the back of the trailer door was an emblem which I could not see clearly.
That is the rig that stole Bear that day. The truck was a black crew cab.
The trailer had one opening on the side that ran the entire length of the
trailer with no door on that side of the trailer (no escape door). It is square
front in the trailer and white in color. Please watch for it..

Just sitting in the office thinking about all the things Bear and I did together. I called more people that had found a corgi but none where my Bear. I cannot say how much anguish and heart ache this is causing. I want my dog back and I refuse to give up hope. Bear never let me down not one time. I have had people on one message board group say to the group. I love my corgi we picked him up on the highway outside of Las Vegas! He had a micro chip but that was not registered, he also had tags but the # was no good. I think people that keep a dog just because they like him when he does belong to someone else is criminal in itself. They should have laws against this sort of thing. I am not happy with the police in our arrea. I think perhaps that was a police emblem on the back of the horse trailer. I just want to find that truck and trailer and I know I will find Bear.
Makes all we work for around the ranch seem unimportant when I think about Bear. I know that person is close to me in my area or around me. Posted to craigslist several times. Guess I will post it across country. Going to notify the vets in the area again. What I would give to see the chip # on any records of dogs in their offices. Surely they have taken him to a vet since he has been gone! BEAR PLEASE COME HOME!
POSTING TO MESSAGE BOARD GROUPS

I am posting today as it is my birthday. Bear
will soon be missing a total of 2 years guys next month. Still cry over him
every day. We have been holding a dog that looks just like Bear that some folks
found over near us and we still want to find his owner! Anyway....Wanted to post
due to my feelings about things....
I go to several places that transport dogs all over the country. They pick up
dogs from one location and transport them to another. I keep looking for a
transport in our area or a corgi going someplace.
Now my question is who monitors these folks? What say they know a person in
another state that really wants a cute little dog. So they are driving to pick a
dog up in an area and they just happen to see one that they know they can get a
few dollars for. Too easy. They use horse trailers to move these dogs with. Say
they pick up a bunch of dogs as I have seen them do with the entire trailer
loaded with crates and dogs! Who knows what dogs they have? Do they check for
chips???? No!
Go to yahoo and see how many groups do just this sort of thing. Sad but true my
Bear may be gone forever. Then they get a little dog like this Buddy and they
give it off to a transporter which takes the dog out of the neighborhod or city
it was in. They even rescue the dog....and you never see them again. They keep
talking about animal rights etc. What about us people that they steal our dogs!
We never see them again.
Who or what monitors this action of railroading dogs? Your dog maybe my dog
maybe! Not right here for some reason. Who checks the trailers the vehicles etc.
I don't think if they transport dogs in a high side van that anyone would even
check going over state lines.
Last month there was a case in CT that they arrived with dead dogs! What
happened to that deal? Sweep it under the carpet and keep transporting after
dark! Do they have to be licensed to do that? NOOOOOO!
Do they even look at the dogs? Some of them I am very sure do. I am sure there
are honest folks out there someplace. But this group really should go check
those message groups!! I am shocked by all the mail I get on another account and
that is just a daily digest of them of transports coming and going! I get
hundreds and hundreds of emails from those groups. Sorry to go on and on but my
Bear was taken by a truck and a horse trailer the day I noticed the vehicle
after that he was gone! My search will go on forever I suppose or until I know
Bear is dead of old age. He is 8 years old and going to be 9 in January. What do
they want with an old dog but to use him for breeding! My baby is gone forever.
What can we do about stopping the people that just pick up a dog that it is so
cute or they just see it out someplace. WE have animal control to do the job of
stray dogs! Thinks I will give this little dog over to them or any rescue? No
way! He is going to find his owner if I have to post forever!
All of us try so hard to do the right thing and not be too pushy with finding
our dogs! WEll let me tell you I have had the entire course on that subject! The
public needs to look out for these transporters. Question what dogs they have
and where they are going with them. But what if they just pick up a little dog
along the way. I found a Class B dog dealer that lives about a half mile from
me! Maybe he got him or yours and sells them to labs. What or how do we stop
this terrible unjust thing?
Well this is my birthday letter I am sending to you guys. Hopefully you will
look there also for your babies. The people here have been both kind and some
very hateful but at least we know who is who. Not who is driving down the road
with our dogs!
Perhaps I thought for the reward would make a difference. No it does not! We had
a $5,000 reward for our Bear and we still got nothing but crazy sightings and
numerous heart aches. Just if you do pick that dog up don't ever stop to not try
and find its owner. If they don't want the dog then let it go but we all
treasure our babies and want them home. To my Bear out there Mom loves you!
Crying does not help and my other half is very sad too. We talked the other day
about how this has affected our lives in so many ways. None for the better. I
hate holidays and only cry on Christmas now.
Thanks,
Grace & Bear
