Hi,Letter of Introduction!

Our babies come with AKC pedigree papers, parents OFA, first shots, worming,  dew claws done and micro chipped with a health guarantee.  Also the Must Read for all new owners is a real must!

The bernese is the most fabulous breed of dog you can imagine.  They are very good with families and do okay in apartments even if they have a companion to take them out regular during the day. We like to know what your situation is and where you reside.  The number of people in your family as we try to match you with the right temperament for your family.  Our corgis we have had and been breeding them for 25 years now. We love our reds and we treasure our tri's.

Our dogs have gone to many parts of California and Washington.  Our puppies can go one of two ways.  If you want the dog for a pet or family dog and plan to have them fixed the price is $1,200.  If you want a breeding dog or one to show, the price goes from $1,550 and up.  That is considered an open registry.  For a corgi it is $900.  If you want a breeding dog and an open registry they are $1,200. for a corgi.

We accept a $400 non refundable deposit when you have picked your puppy from the litter.  That comes from the price of the dog.   At the time you pick your baby up you need to have either a cashiers check or cash for the balance on your baby.   We prefer not to ship if at all possible.  The cost for shipping will depend on who you want to transport.

The bernese and neither can the corgis they cannot be just stuck out in a yard either.  They require human companion ship.  They do not do well kept isolated.   Also they must have obedience training at an early age.  They are a very strong dog but easy to teach and loves to please.  They love to go where you go and be a giant part of your family. Corgis are very determined little dogs so they also need obedience training.

They require a large amount of grooming time.  They shed quite often.  The corgis shed twice a year. The have bernese have a double coat which requires thinning at times.  I can suggest to you things to help you get started.

Summer time is an issue for them. They have to have a place to get cool during the heat of the day in parts of the country.  My dogs come in the house if it is too hot for them.  They also love “icies”  which I make out of juice bottles that I fill with water and then freeze.  That is a real hot tip.

I recommend limited activity through the first year and not to over feed them either.  They love to eat but the growth during the first year is most important. They do tend to live only about 10 years average. Cancer is a problem in the breed. So far I have not run into that problem.  We are able to say our corgi's have not had any health issues within the blood lines.  There life span is somewhat longer about 12 to 15 years.

I like to follow my babies to see if they have any problem etc.  This gives me feedback on my breeding dogs as to what we further want to breed or not.

We care ever so much for them.  After I get the best time in their lives “first 8 weeks”.  I have to cry every time one goes home.  I am a real honest person and will tell you what I think if it is needed.  They are not the breed for everyone but they are the breed for me!

I hope I can add more to this form letter, as I was told this is what I needed to do: but I prefer to get to know my owners on a personal basis and keep only open conversation going.  I assume sometimes that people just know those things but they do not at times.  So please feel free to ask me what ever you want to know from me.
